Monument

The design of the monument which should adorn the Smetana park in Kadaň, ought to be first of all joyful and hopeful but it should also make people think. It could also be designed as a rest stage with benches. We will endeavour to build the monument according to the winning design (there can be three winners) on the air shaft covers that will serve as pedestals for the monuments (see below). Draw the monument (with no engineering characteristic) from two or three views (horizontal projection is also possible) to be well “legible”.

In 1980 Czechoslovakia devoted a memorial to the town of Nagasaki. The memorial is dedicated to the nuclear blast victims but it is optimistic and was called Joy of Life. The memorial in Smetana park on the in Kadaň should be also optimictic.
